Strong Foregrounds
I really enjoy exploring a scene before I shoot it and one of the main things I look for is a strong foreground.
A foreground can really make or break your images.
You have to walk a fine line, using various compositional tools (such as leading lines, the rule of thirds, movement, and so on) in order to create a foreground that works within the scene you are shooting.
